Now Hiring: Theatre Teaching Artists

Hook Arts Media is seeking part-time theatre educators (esp. those with experience in applied theatre and/or devised theatre) for its work at public high schools in New York City.

HAM offers in-school theatre programs at NYC high schools.

This program asks students to take real-life experiences and turn them into dramatic pieces while learning the building blocks of theatre and developing a vocabulary to discuss plays by peers and by professional artists.

Through role-plays, theatre games, writing, and storytelling, participants are asked to question their own points of view and to examine their places in society and the issues that impact them.

This is a 1 hour/week in-person teaching artist position in Manhattan.
