FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Every year the scenic waterfront neighborhood of Red Hook, Brooklyn gathers for a Thanksgiving feast at PS15. Following the wonderful meal, provided free to the public, Dance Theatre Etcetera presents a free dance concert and DJ dance party featuring some of New York City’s hottest talents.

Red Hook Move It 2017 features an exciting lineup of professional dance companies, including Bombazo Dance Company, an Afro Puerto Rican Bomba dance collective led by Milteri Tucker; Movement of the People Dance Company, a contemporary collective that creates original dance pieces to address sociocultural inequity led by Bessie Award-Winning choreographer Joya Powell; and IT’S SHOWTIME NYC, a program of Dancing in the Streets dedicated to providing performance and professional development to street performers.
