In Transition Fall 2019

During the Spring and Fall, Hook Arts Media® offers after-school media production intensives on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Students research the topics that most interest and impact them while developing the pre-professional skills necessary to create, edit, produce, and distribute their original works.

The program is open to anyone between the ages of 14-25. All participants earn an hourly minimum wage.

Support Our Work

Whether you’ve come here to support Hook Arts Media’s free public events like Red Hook Fest, our filmmaking programs, or media and arts education programs in NYC schools, your donation today will help us serve NYC’s young people, community members, and educators. For more than 25 years, Hook Arts Media has proudly supported and served thousands of New York City youth. Our students have gone on to become educators, producers, filmmakers, and activists. Throughout our programs, they thoughtfully and critically engage with the realities of injustice and inequity, and they learn to show up and show out to facilitate the sustainable change they want to see in their communities. Join our efforts to show up and show out for our young people. Support Hook Arts Media to help us sustain our support in the future movers, shakers, and leaders of our city.
